The Award
The WYSE Volunteer & Travel Outstanding Volunteer Project Award showcases volunteer projects that stand out through key characteristics such as sustainability and responsibility in this growing industry segment. Across the world, many volunteer and travel projects are making a huge difference in a number of sectors, such as the environment, humanitarian, social and education areas. The WYSE Volunteer & Travel Award aims to raise the profile of the best volunteering projects and programmes, and showcase ‘best practice’ examples.
We welcome both sending and receiving organisations to submit entries, including joint applications, and it is open to both members and non-members alike.
The WYSE Volunteer & Travel Award offers the chance for very public recognition and acknowledgement from your peers and partners within the youth travel industry! The winner will be announced in San Diego during the 2012 Global Youth Travel Awards at WYSTC and we encourage all entrants to register for this year’s event, to be present for the awards. The top three entries will be recognized.
The Judging Panel for this Award are African Impact (South Africa), Conservation Volunteers (Australia), Experiment e.V. (Germany), GVI (UK), Idex (India), ISV (USA) and Madventurer (UK).
The organisation of the winning project/programme will receive wide-spread promotion in all our communication and on the website, and will be awarded a one year complimentary membership with WYSE Volunteer & Travel, valid for 2013.
