Preliminary Registration Data Reveals Top Level Attendance at WYSTC

Since registration for WYSTC opened in April, early registration data shows the Conference is already proving to be the essential meeting place for top level industry leaders, decision makers, and trend setters.

Now in its 21st year, the World Youth & Student Travel Conference’s registration contains a record high percentage of CEOs, directors, presidents, and managers who have already signed up to attend in San Diego, California this September.

“This year’s conference and the level of people attending prove the need for a high level meeting ground for industry leaders in the global youth travel industry covering all sectors”, said WYSE Travel Confederation Director General Espen Falkenhaug.

This level of delegate attendance reflects the global big picture according to the UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. Total exports generated by international tourism in 2011 reached US $1.2 trillion, up from US $928 billion in 2010. International tourism receipts grew 3.8% and tourist arrivals grew 4.6% to 982 million globally.

With WYSTC as its signature annual event, all of WYSE Travel Confederation’s activities throughout 2012 are planned to help businesses take advantage of this exciting period of recovery since crisis year 2009.

Meanwhile, the registration data also shows that many previous WYSTC attendees are returning for another successful round of business appointments and other events. The discount for Early Bird registration expires on 31 May 2012.
