Get in the Game!

WYSTC will be buzzing with business in Sydney this year, and we want to make sure you have some fun too.

While you are conducting business appointments, taking part in networking opportunities and listening to educational seminars, make sure you check in, too, via our Whereabouts game. It’s a fun way to take part in the conference and compete with your colleagues and peers. In Whereabouts, you can learn about and share tips, gain points, race your friends, unlock coveted badges and become the Mayor of a location.

Why are we doing this? We want to encourage attendees to engage in social media the way young people do.

Its easy to play. This is how it works:

• Download the foursquare application on your smartphone* (if you haven’t already).
• Create an account or log in via Facebook.
• Find friends and other WYSTC attendees. Tip: foursquare automatically searches your contacts.
• Make WYSTC your first friend!

*foursquare works on all major devices and platforms – iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Palm, Ovi and more.

 

At WYSTC:

We will provide you with a list of check-in locations and a How to Participate guide.

Check in at these locations to gain insider information regarding the conference via Tips.

The top participants will be awarded prizes and the most keen participants can become the Mayor of a certain location. Those participating will receive regular updates and publicity.
